Cultural Landscape Studies

Cultural landscapes are the cumulative impact of people on a natural landscape, made habitable, productive or ornamental over time. A cultural landscape study considers structures, landscape change, archaeology, topography and ecology together. This type of report identifies key aspects of the site that are important to maintain the specific environment and identity that give a unique quality to a place, usually while it is undergoing change.

Our Cultural Landscapes service examines the cumulative impact of people on the natural landscape, considering structures, environmental change, archaeology, topography and ecology together. These studies identify the key features that give a place its unique character and identity, helping to guide how they are retained while the site undergoes change.

Historical Studies

Our Historical Studies service draws on archival primary and secondary research to build a clear, evidence-based picture of the past. This work supports archaeological investigations and studies of historic places, landscapes and buildings, giving clients the context they need to make informed decisions.

Material Culture Studies

Our Material Culture Studies service brings together detailed artefact catalogues and professional artefact photography to record and preserve the objects uncovered at a site. We can also prepare interpretation plans that turn these finds into engaging stories, helping communities and visitors connect with the people and places of the past.

Asset Studies

We undertake large asset studies over many years including projects such as regional heritage studies including those for Strathfield, Glenn Innes and the North-West sector a study of convict sites throughout NSW, and various environmental studies for roads and the airport.
